Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph 5970P – Black Dial – Full Set

Considered to be one of Patek Philippe's most important watches, the Reference 5970 is the modern-day heir to the Reference 3970, the Swiss maison's historic perpetual calendar.

The last in the dynasty of Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronographs to mount a Lemania-derived movement, and not the Patek manufacture calibre currently in use, the 5270 boasts a single-series production run from 2004 to 2011 of dials and cases in the four precious metals: white, yellow, pink and platinum gold.

The 5970P is the only production version of the watch with a black dial and has been considered the most collectible of the four since its production. It is estimated that the "final run" of the 5970P was produced in 300-500 examples. A further aesthetic variation at "6" is the presence of "120" on the tachymetric scale, present only in the Platinum configuration.
