CARTIER TANK ASYMETRIQUE – 18K ROSE GOLD – COLLECTION PRIVE' LIMITED EDITION
The Cartier Tank Asymmetrique was presented for the first time in 1936 and, although it may seem like a simple inclined Tank, this model was originally conceived as an independent line, so much so that the name it received was “Losange” or “Parallélogramme”.
The dial was rotated 30 degrees clockwise and a special strap was created that allowed the inclination of the case to be followed.
Watches with this inclination were not a rarity at the time and were created with the idea of making it easier to read while driving, with the wrists therefore slightly inclined.
In 1996 a first re-edition was presented, but incorporated within the "Tank" line.
In 2006 the Collection Privée Cartier Paris released a new Asymmetrique making some changes such as the lugs going from two to three on each side and the Breguet hands were introduced.
This rare and limited Cartier Tank Asymètrique model has the following features:
18K Rose Gold Case
Anthracite dial
Alligator leather bracelet
