ROLEX EXPLORER REFERENCE 1016 – BLACK MK2 DIAL – ROLEX CHRONOMETRIC CERTIFICATE COSC
The Rolex Explorer was first introduced in 1953. Initially, it was developed only for professional use as a prototype watch. One of the rarest and earliest examples of the “Explorer” model is the reference 6150 also called the “Pre-Explorer” since it did not carry the famous “Explorer” designation on the dial.
The honeycomb gilt dial with ‘3-6-9’ is really quite stunning and rarity to find in the present conditions.
The present Rolex Explorer II reference 1016 fits the following characteristics:
Case & Bracelet in stainless steel
Black Mk2 Dial
Dial ‘3-6-9’
Oyster Bracelet
Rolex Chronometric Certificate COSC
This stunning and rare example of Rolex Explorer 1016 with Black Mk5 Dial is available at our DEANGELIS Boutique located in Milano
