The Rolex Sea-Dweller ref 1665 is surely the most representative of the brand concerning professional diving models.
It features the exclusive helium expulsion valve, which is essential during the decompression process after diving at great depth.
Regular production began in 1971, despite the fact that the first pre-series units were in production as early as ’67. Initially equipped with the “double red writing” dial (up to ’77), it was later fitted with the white writing dial until the end of production.
