One of the most famous and iconic Rolex models is the Cosmograph Daytona. In 1963 Rolex launched the first Cosmograph model which marked the beginning of a must-have among collectors. The current reference 6241 was the second equipped with pump pushers after the reference 6239 but in this case it was fitted with a black Bakelite bezel.
Production of the reference 6241 began in 1965 until the end of 1969, bringing a great stylistic and functional innovation: the external bezel changed from metal to Bakelite, giving depth and a clear contrast between the case and the tachymetric scale.
