Rolex Explorer 1016 – Black Matte “Frog” Dial – Excellent Conditions – COSC
The Rolex Explorer was first introduced in 1953. Initially, it was developed only for professional use as a prototype watch. One of the rarest and oldest examples of the “Explorer” model is the reference 6150 also called “Pre-Explorer” since it did not bear the famous “Explorer” writing on the dial.
The golden honeycomb dial with “3-6-9” graphics is truly stunning and rare to find in this condition.
The present Rolex Explorer reference 1016 has the following characteristics:
Steel case and Oyster bracelet
Frog “Matte” Dial
